Every city, village, and town in the State of Wisconsin is divided into wards as approved by its board. Wards provide representational equality for all potential voters to elect senate and assembly representatives. When a portion of the Town of Somers was incorporated into a Village in April, 2015, the town’s boundaries and population were reduced and the new Village of Somers boundaries and population were newly established.
