At the meeting of the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, Village President George Stoner announced Festival Foods intends to open a new grocery store in Somers.  Festival Foods intends to purchase the northwest corner of Highway 31 (Green Bay Road) and 31^st Street (entrance to Sam’s Club and Wal Mart).  This proposed development plans to open summer, 2016.

Village officials are very excited about working with Festival Foods, a family and employee-owned company.  “This is a welcome addition to our community and we are ready to help make this project a reality,” said William Morris, Village/Town of Somers Administrator.
