About Judge Robert C. Kupfer
The Honorable Robert C. Kupfer presides over the consolidated Municipal Courts of the Village and Town of Somers, having served in the capacity since 2005. He has maintained a private practice, concentrating on civil matters, since 1982. In addition, he has served as a supplemental Court Commissioner for Kenosha County since 1990, handling family, traffic, juvenile and adult criminal intake, juvenile delinquency and protective service cases, as well as small claims intake, trials and restitution hearings.
Judge Kupfer graduated from University of Wisconsin Law School in 1982. He previously graduated with honors from the school of business at Marquette University in 1978 with a double major in finance and marketing. Judge Kupfer is currently the President of the Wisconsin Municipal Judges Association. He has served on several local committees devoted to legal and enviornmental issues.
Judge Kupfer and his family have lived in the Village (formerly Town) of Somers since 1986. He is active in local groups and activities.
Robert Kupfer was re-elected to serve a four-year term of Somers Municipal Judge on April 7, 2015.
