Location

This sign is located on the University of Wisconsin Parkside campus on the west side of Wood Road just south of Highway A.

Information

This sign overlooks to the west, the Pike River Valley.  Immediately below the sign is the Pike River, popular for fishing in the spring and fall as well as hiking nature trails that meander through the valley and upper terrace.  Excellent examples of native prairie plants together with giant maple trees are to be enjoyed on one of the many trails that can be accessed on Highway A just west of Wood Road.  Trail head signs are marked.
