As of 2 p.m. today Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has suspended all public or private gatherings of more than 10 people.

Given this fact, we have made the decision to suspend Village and Town Work Sessions and Board meetings until we can get a system in place for remote access. We have some guidance from the League of Wisconsin Municipalities and are reviewing it to see how to hold meetings remotely and comply with open meeting laws.

Somers Village/Town offices will remain open, but will request that the public only come for absentee balloting. Absentee balloting has begun. Booths have been placed six feet apart and are disinfected hourly.

Our golf program has been suspended and our basketball program has been canceled.
