Bear Development celebrated the completion of the first 140 units of their new Market Square Apartments with a ribbon cutting ceremony held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 in the clubhouse at 3100 Market Lane on the corner of Green Bay Road and Highway 142 in Somers. The apartments are located adjacent to Festival Foods, Kwik Trip, Walmart, Sam’s Club, and a new Burger King currently under construction. The apartment complex, at completion, will consist of 280 units. Currently, 140 units have been leased and the remaining 140 units will be constructed soon to meet the demand for housing that has resulted from the new business development in the area. Amazon.com’s distribution center and First Park 94 Industrial Park, along with other new development in the planning phases, are located approximately four miles to the west near Interstate I-94.
