Building & Ground Maintenance

The Village and Town of Somers Public Works Department is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair all Village and Town buildings including:

  • Village/Town Hall
  • Fire Department Building
  • Public Works Building
  • Water Utility Building
  • Eight Lift Stations, checked weekly
    • Highway E west of Highway 31
    • Lichter Subdivision
    • 13th Avenue and 7th Street (Berryville Road)
    • Seawall Condominiums, Highway 32
    • Lakeshore, east end of 7th Street (Berryville Road)
    • 11th Place
    • Sheridan Road and Birch Road/Carthage College
    • Eaglewood at 45th and Highway E

Grounds Maintenance

The Public Works Department is responsible for all landscaping maintenance and ice and snow removal for the following:

  • Village/Town Hall
  • Fire Department Building
  • Public Works Building
  • Water Utility Building
  • Eight Lift Stations
  • Right-of-Way for all Village and Town roads and streets
  • Seven Village and Town Parks including ball diamonds in season
  • Oakwood Cemetery
  • Yard Waste
