Information about garbage and recycling
Johns Disposal Service has been the contractor for garbage pick up and recycling in the Village and Town of Somers since 2020.
Garbage is picked up Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Recycling is picked up every other week and is split between two routes.
The map below shows recycling routes A and B and the new garbage pickup map.
Johns Disposal has an annual shredding and e-cycling event at the Village/Town Hall. Starting in 2025, an annual bulk pickup will be organized as well. Stay tuned to the website for the date.
