The $2.450 million project was awarded to Globe Contractors by the Village Board of Trustees on December 8, 2015.  The project installed new sanitary sewer and storm sewer lines, and new water mains from Highway 31 and 31st Street, west to the First Park 94 industrial park located on the corner of Highways H and S.  To finance the project, the Village Board approved a municipal financing tool called a Tax Increment District where the revenues from the development are dedicated to pay for the debt service.  No taxpayer money will be used to pay for the sewer and water service. The project, completed well ahead of the May 1, 2016 deadline, will service the fully developed First Park 94 with expansion capacity west of Highway H.
