The Kenosha Kingfish baseball team’s mascot attended Somers first game of the summer season on June 7th. Kevin Griffin, Director of Somers Youth Recreation welcomed the 340 kids and good weather, saying that it was a great way to kick off the new summer season. Also cheering on our youth teams were Village Trustees Karl Ostby and Joe Cardinali who serves as Village Board liaison to the Parks Committee and Youth Recreation Department.
Games start at 6 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, weather permitting.
The public is invited to come and watch the kids play in the family-friendly Somers Memorial Park behind the Village/Town Hall. Visit the snack truck and enjoy the game!
