A public meeting was held at the Somers Village/Town Hall on February 3, 2016 where residents could view conceptual designs and ask questions regarding the improvement of 2.3 miles of County S from County H to Brumback Boulevard which leads into Somers Market Center, anchored by Wal Mart and Sam’s Club. Highway S currently consists of two 12-foot wide travel lanes. The Kenosha County improvement plan proposes a four-lane divided roadway. Kenosha County officials confirmed the project is in its study phase where public input is encouraged. The next public meeting has been scheduled for May, 2016.
