After six years as a Somers Village Trustee, Gregg Sinnen has announced that he will not seek re-election.

He filed his non-candidacy papers.

After serving the Village and Town in many capacities, Sinnen felt it was time for a break.

He served on the Somers Fire & Rescue Department as a volunteer for over 15 years in the 80s and 90s, the Incorporation Study Committee, Board of Appeals, Somers Fire Commission and as a Town Board Supervisor.

Sinnen said that he will keep up with what is going on in the community and you will likely still see him attending some of the meetings.

The Town and Village would like to thank him for his service.
