The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is offering grants to help residents replace, reconstruct, treat or abandon wells or water system.
To qualify, applicants need to
- Own a private well or non-community water system
- Have an annual family income below $100,000
- Have water contaminated with nitrate, arsenic, fecal bacteria or PFAS
- Have had no work performed on the well
Qualified applicants could receive up to $16,000.
Applications are due by Dec. 2024.
