On April 25, 2023, the Somers Village Board adopted a Federal Emergency Management Agency Letter of Map Revision (LOMAR) for floodplain management purposes.

The revision was made at the request of Kwik Trip, Inc. who applied to the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for a minor Letter of Map Revision for floodplain management purposes for its location adjacent to Interstate 94.

On March 28, 2023, FEMA issued the LOMR determination document for the area known as Unnamed Tributary No. 8 to Kilbourn Road Ditch Overflow and the Village Board, following a public hearing, adopted those findings, the map revision will become effective on August 16, 2023, and interested parties may request that FEMA reconsider the determination pursuant to the appeal process contained in the approved map revision.
