Starting June 19, diamond grinding is set to start as part of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Green Bay Road resurfacing project.
Residents, businesses and motorists should be aware that noise and dust is associated with this type of work.
Green Bay Road (Highway 31) will be reduced to one lane in each direction overnight from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays and from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. weekends for approximately four weeks.
Dedicated left turn lanes throughout the project are scheduled to close to traffic during the overnight lane closures.
Motorists should be aware of new traffic patterns, obey traffic control signs and drive safely throughout the work zone for the safety of all.
The work is weather dependent and subject to change.
The state-led project started in early April and includes the resurfacing of Green Bay Road from Highway 50 to Highway S (38th Street). It is expected to be completed in the fall.
Projects updates are posted on the WisDOT website on this page.
