The Somers Public Works staff has started installing new meter reading technology for water utility customers.

The update consists in adding a radio transmitter on top of the touchpad already located outside.

Once the installation is complete, you will notice a gray box being installed onto the existing black touchpad on your property. In most cases, our staff will not need to enter your home or business. However, if the radio transmitter is unable to communicate with your existing meter, we will need access to complete the installation. You will be contacted for an appointment if that is the case.
